“We are implementing the mobile phone and computer support we have promised to our university students”

Delivering remarks following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting, President Erdoğan said: “We are implementing the mobile phone and computer support we have promised to our university students in formal education. We will provide our university students with up to a total of 5,500 liras of technological device support for mobile phones and computers, whose market prices do not exceed 9,500 liras.”     President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered remarks to reporters following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Complex. “WE POINTED TO TÜRKİYE’S CONTRIBUTIONS” “Drawing attention to his recent visit to India for the 18th G20 Leaders’ Summit, President Erdoğan said: “During the talks held as part of the Summit, we pointed to the contributions Türkiye has been making to such matters as climate change, anti-terror fight and irregular migration. We brought up to the agenda the potential steps that could be taken by G20 countries in order to correct the global injustices. Having hold bilateral talks with several heads of state and government, we took decisions aimed at further enhancing our cooperation. We will continue to play an active role within G20, which brings together the biggest economies in the world under the same roof, from now on as well.” Underscoring that they took important decisions regarding the youth during today’s Cabinet Meeting, President Erdoğan said: “We are implementing the mobile phone and computer support we have promised to our university students in formal education. We will provide our university students with up to a total of 5,500 liras of technological device support for mobile phones and computers, whose market prices do not exceed 9,500 liras. We will, thus, be providing a support of up to 44.4 percent of the market price for mobile phones, and up to 16.7 percent for computers.”  “TURKISH HOUSE WAS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT CENTERS OF DIPLOMACY” Also touching upon his recent visit to the U.S. for the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, President Erdoğan underlined the bilateral meetings he held with his several counterparts at the Turkish House, and added that the Turkish House was one of the most important centers of diplomacy this year as well. Delivering remarks on his address to the General Assembly, President Erdoğan noted: “We drew attention to the importance of combatting Islamophobia and voiced the necessity to protect the family institution that is being targeted by global lobbies. We reaffirmed our will to improve our cooperation with the Turkic and Islamic world. We shouted out once again that Karabakh is Azerbaijani land. We stated with all our sincerity that although growing bigger with problems and injustices, a fairer world is possible.” “WE STRENGTHENED OUR COOPERATION WITH AZERBAIJAN” As regards his visit to Nakhchivan the previous day, President Erdoğan stressed: “Nakhchivan, which is our door that opens to Azerbaijan and the Central Asia, is of strategic importance to us as well in terms of its geopolitical location. We consolidated this fact during our visit yesterday. We broke the ground for 80.150-meter-long Iğdır-Nakhchivan Natural Gas Pipeline, which we promised during our visit to Baku in 2020. With the project that has a daily transport capacity of 2 million cubic meters, the entire natural gas need of Nakhchivan will be met. We strengthened our cooperation with Azerbaijan by signing three agreements yesterday in the areas of energy, transportation and housing. We all are proud of the success of the operation the Azerbaijani army has carried out against the terror elements in Karabakh. I hereby once again congratulate the victorious Azerbaijani army.” President Erdoğan wished Allah’s mercy upon the Azerbaijani soldiers who died a martyr’s death during the operations and due to the explosions of mines, and a speedy recovery to the injured, extending his condolences to the Azerbaijani people. “WE WANT TO TURN OUR REGION INTO A BASIN OF PEACE AND PROSPERITY” “The humanitarian stance our Azerbaijani brothers and sisters have displayed towards the Armenians in Karabakh despite all the oppression and massacres they have endured over the past 30 years is beyond any praise. All the necessary measures were taken to prevent any harm to civilians during the operation. Azerbaijani authorities exerted extraordinary efforts for the delivery of humanitarian aid. The allegations raised by some countries feeding off the deadlock in the region for years are nothing but nonsense and slander. We expect Armenia not to fall for such provocations originating from outside the country or from the diaspora. The path to the Armenian people’s peace, serenity and prosperity is through cooperation and peace with the neighbors, not through confrontation. Türkiye has not, and will not, refrain from doing its part for a lasting peace in the region,” the President said. Stressing that Türkiye’s uninterrupted road and rail connection with the friendly and brotherly Azerbaijan will be established through Nakhchivan with the realization of the Zangezur corridor as soon as possible, President Erdoğan stated: “We want to turn our region into a basin of peace and prosperity with projects that will include our neighbor Iran as well. We will manage this process without alienating or excluding anyone.” “THOSE BEFRIENDING TÜRKİYE WIN AND THOSE HOSTILE TO TÜRKİYE LOSE” “Sustainable development forms the essence of all of our programmes since we came to power,” underlined President Erdoğan. “The world is going through a period marked by political, economic, social and military crises, mostly in our near environ. Against such a backdrop, it is a great success for Türkiye to continue its development without deviating from its main goals.”  Stressing that Türkiye has enhanced its competitive capacity by reaching record-high levels in manufacturing and exports, President Erdoğan stated: “We have opened new windows for ourselves in energy ranging from natural gas to oil, renewable resources and battery technologies. We have established an exemplary protective shield against pandemics, which have taken the world hostage, in every domain from health care services to social supports. We have never refrained or shied away from fulfilling our responsibilities towards humanity in fighting the climate crisis caused by developed countries.” Stressing that the saying, ‘Geography is destiny,’ is valid not only for Türkiye and that the geography Türkiye is located in is the destiny of the entire region and the entire world as well, President Erdoğan added: “Those befriending Türkiye win and those hostile to Türkiye lose. We seek to increase the number of our friends. Accordingly, starting from our near environ, we build our policies all around the world on peace, dialogue, winning together, equity, justice, morality and human being.”
