President Erdoğan was welcomed with an official ceremony by Emir Sheikh Tamim of Qatar. Once the two leaders arrived at the ceremonial ground, the national anthems of Türkiye and Qatar were played, and President Erdoğan inspected the guard of honor.  Following the introduction of the delegations, the two leaders proceeded to their bilateral meeting. Following their bilateral meeting, President Erdoğan and Emir Sheikh Tamim chaired the 9th meeting of the Türkiye-Qatar Supreme Strategic Committee. Later on, the two leaders presided over the signing ceremony of the agreements between Türkiye and Qatar. PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN VISITS EXPO 2023 DOHA President Erdoğan visited the EXPO 2023 Doha as part of his visit to Qatar. President Erdoğan visited the Turkish pavilion at the expo site, received information from the officials, signed the special book, and planted a memorial sapling. Reminding that he came to Qatar for the 9th meeting of the Türkiye-Qatar Supreme Strategic Committee and the 44th Summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council, President Erdoğan said that the pavilions of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Türkiye at EXPO 2023 Doha were organized in a strong manner. President Erdoğan said: “The fact that there were approximately 80 participating countries here naturally added additional power to the Expo fair. Our wish is that in the future, there will be much more participation, and trade in the world will merge with each other. On behalf of myself and my nation, I would like to thank the Qatari administration, especially my brother Tamim, for realizing this global organization. I wish for their success to continue.”
