First Lady Erdoğan attends Women’s Leadership event in New York  21.09.2023   First Lady Emine Erdoğan attended the Women’s Leadership event held by the Turkish Businesswomen Association (TIKAD) in New York.      Making a speech at the event, First Lady Erdoğan drew attention to the central role played by women in the Turkish history, and said that the Turkish lands are full of heroic struggles which would be a source of inspiration for all the women of the world.   Depriving women of their rights is tantamount to raising insurmountable obstacles in the way of social development, warned the First Lady, stressing that women have always been the leading agents of civilization and development.  “Societies in which women can exist under equal circumstances in judiciary, education, production, trade, arts, sports and family, in short in every area, are strong and dynamic societies,” the First Lady stated.  First Lady Erdoğan said: “We wholeheartedly wish that it may be acknowledged by all segments of the society that women are not auxiliary but rather key figures of economic growth on out path to sustainable development goals.”
