Addressing the launch of the Medium Term Programme, President Erdoğan said: “With the basket of policies we adopt in the Medium Term Programme, we will remove the inflation problem from our country’s agenda. We will take steps to end the inflation inertia, ensuring coordination in our monetary, fiscal and incomes policies.”     President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan unveiled the Medium Term Programme at the Presidential Complex. Noting that the first road map in economy towards a more powerful, more secure and more prosperous Türkiye has been laid out with the Medium Term Programme, President Erdoğan said: “We have not disregarded any problem while sharing the main principles, policies, targets and indicative economic growth rates in our programme. As different from the previous one, we have opened a special chapter for structural transformation steps in the new programme. We have made basic topics an essential part of the programme with a timeframe.” “WE WILL ALLOW NO CONCESSION FROM ECONOMIC GROWTH IN THE PERIOD COVERED BY THE PROGRAMME” Noting that reform steps of primary importance have been determined in seven main areas including related to growth, trade, price stability, financial stability, human capital, employment, green and digital transformation, disaster management, public finance, and business and investment environment, President Erdoğan underlined that there will be no concession from economic growth in the period covered by the programme. “With the basket of policies we adopt in the Medium Term Programme, we will remove the inflation problem from our country’s agenda. Simplifying the macroprudential policies, we will prevent consumption habits that disrupt economic balances and feed into inflation,” the President said. Pointing out that financing opportunities will be offered in support of the real sector in a price stability-focused manner through growth-oriented policies based on investments, employment, production and exports, President Erdoğan stated: “We will do production planning by determining sufficiency rates in strategic agricultural products in a bid to ensure price stability and supply security of foods.”
