In recent days, the Palestinian issue has been dominating the world's agenda. Much like in the 1970s, anti-Israel sentiment is surging from East to West, affecting countries worldwide. What's interesting is that this anti-Israel sentiment is transforming into anti-American sentiment. When an issue involving injustice, oppression, or the possibility of genocide arises, it doesn't only concern those directly affected, but the entire global community, focusing on the response of major nations. The extraordinary situation unfolding in Israel, where the United States is seemingly adding fuel to the fire and leaving EU countries imprisoned by their own policies, has caused significant global discontent.
In European Union countries, the United Kingdom, Latin America, the Far East, Africa, Middle Eastern countries, Türkiye, and all around the world, hundreds of thousands of people have taken to the streets in the face of the looming threat of genocide in Gaza. They protested against Israel and the United States, drawing attention to the threat and trauma faced by civilians. The reactions are growing rapidly.
Leaders such as President Erdoğan, Russian President Putin, and Chinese President Xi Jinping have voiced support for a two-state solution, based on the 1967 borders. Most Arab countries, including Egypt, view this political solution positively. In the midst of all this, a wounded Palestinian child of around seven or eight uttered the most political sentence of our time: "Even if they kill us all, Israel will lose!" This summarizes all the processes happening. At the same time, it's a vivid depiction of the millions of children living on the brink of death.
The issue of a two-state solution and abandoning the Gaza massacre has now been brought up by U.S. officials. The outcome will either lead to a two-state solution, or Israel will buy itself a century of mistrust.
In the days when the idea of Russia's encirclement by Muslims was being put into practice, and the Green Belt operation was in full swing, the concept of the Ummah (Islamic community) and the idea of an Islamic state were frequently debated in major Islamic countries. Young idealist Islamists, who had a longing similar to the Soviet Russia model about the unity of the Ummah, were numerous. The Green Belt operation was most skillfully utilized in favor of the Ummah and to the disadvantage of those who designed it by the leader Necmettin Erbakan. In the understanding of nubuwwah adhering to the doctrine of tawhid (the oneness of God), without any tolerance for any deviation, and adhering to the way of Ahl as-Sunnah wa'l-Jama'ah, maintaining a broad mass in line with principles, making a clear distinction between "friends and foes," and taking an ideological, anti-Western stance within Türkiye's political and religious atmosphere, he sowed the seeds of a great Türkiye's development, progress, and industrialization, including turning it into a massive state.
Today, we have come to see that the most feasible path to achieving the unity of the Ummah is not the union of its parts but its consolidation around a powerful and influential country.
Nations regain access to their historical abilities. In this context, there has been an interesting expectation related to Türkiye in Muslim countries, African countries, and Latin America. Türkiye's self-development, self-sufficiency in defense industries, and achievements independent of the West, led by Erdoğan's balanced leadership, have turned Türkiye into a source of hope for nations and governments.
A Türkiye as powerful as the Ottoman Empire is not only our yearning but also the yearning of all oppressed peoples around the world. This is because the Turkish people have an imperial experience of governing all religions, cultures, and nations with justice and mercy.
Westerners occupied our lands for a century, and for a century, they continued to smear the Turks and Arabs through the Ottoman Empire. All these efforts did not eliminate the great nation's growth potential.
A Türkiye as strong as the Ottoman Empire is needed by both the child in Gaza, the Turkic world, and all oppressed people.
